Challenges and opportunities for the not for profit sector

A number of our clients are not for profit organisations with long histories of serving the community.

They enjoy high levels of community trust and ‘brand awareness’.

Most rely on a mix of government funding, service fees and donations for their financial survival. They also usually manage service delivery though a mix of paid and unpaid staff.

Towards the end of 2011, accounting firm McLean Delmo undertook an online survey directed at key NFP executives to find out what their greatest issues and aspirations are – both for their own organisations and the sector at large. The report summarises their responses and comments.
