Introducing our Business Essentials Short Course Program

Clients are telling us that skill development is on their urgent agenda at the same time that budgets are tight and it is hard to release staff to attend programs. In response, Oz>Train has developed a 6-month program of short courses on business essentials. Each course will be held in our new Training Suite – Oz>Train on First – suite 114 in the Aurora Building at 147 Pirie Street.

Administrative staff as partners in the business with Brenda Kuhr

This course is for administrative support staff who are keen to make a confident impression and to be valued as a critical member of a work team. Topics to be covered include:

  • How a reputation is developed.
  • How to feel and sound confident.
  • How to speak up and present yourself well in meetings.
  • How to assertively present your point of view.

Introduction to Government with Denise Picton

This course is for any staff member new to government within the past 12 months. Topics to be covered include:

  • The history of the SA Strategic Plan.
  • Premier Weatherill’s 7 big priorities.
  • The differences between public and private policy making.
